[36/100] Planning away 📝 I’m just now getting back on track today after spending the weekend in NYC. Working on roughly a million projects simultaneously this week so stress level = max but we’re here and we got this. Happy Tuesday my frens ✌️
And yes 80% of my breakfast is actually just peanut butter but don’t @ me, it’s delicious
[3/100] Pretty distracted today... I started the “Learning Python for Data Analysis and Visualization” course on @udemy last night. The course assumes you already have some basic Python programming knowledge, so it’s not starting from the veryyyy beginning but I always find the first 25% or so of these things hard to get through if the material sounds familiar to me. Trying to focus anyway and take note of fundamental concepts so that I’m not going back to review too much later 🤞#100DaysOfData ...

[1/100] Today I’m kicking off #100DaysOfData , a little data science spin on the #100DaysOfCode challenge. I really want to start from square one with Python and build up my skills in Tableau. So here’s the plan: I’m going to spend at least one hour every day working through online Python and Tableau courses, using what I learn to build data visualizations on the side 📈
Why am I doing this? Well, since starting my first data job almost one year ago (holy sh can’t believe it’s been that long), I’ve fallen into the predictable rut of neglecting my personal projects and not intentionally investing time into my education (I say “intentionally”, because I do learn a lot just in the day-to-day of doing my job - but I want to prioritize learning outside of work, too).
I hope that by going through this challenge and sharing the experience with you, I can maybe be a better resource for those interested in learning Python or getting into data science. On that note, if you’d like to join me and commit to learning or re-learning anything related to data science over the next 100 days, please do!!! I’d love to cheer you on 🙌 ...
[28/100] Happy Monday! This is how I spent most of the weekend... In bed, half coding, half laughing at @schittscreek in the background 🙃
In other news, I’ve made it to the data visualization portion of Jose Portilla’s Learning Python for Data Analysis and Visualization @udemy course 🎉 Kicked it off by building some histograms and kernel density estimate plots. Pretty excited to dig into the rest of the section this week!
[59/100] *checks to see if there’s any coffee left*
Happy Thursday, friends!
[11/100] R u s h i n g to get a few dashboards done by the end of today so this will be another quick update: I just completed a more complex data cleaning task on my own that normally I would’ve asked a coworker to help with! Little victories! 🎉 Wishing you all a happy Friday! #100DaysOfData ...
A new study in the Journal of Finance suggests 2017’s bitcoin price surge to $20,000+ was the doing of an unknown manipulator operating from a single account at Bitfinex, then the largest crypto exchange.
The authors argue the manipulator used a dollar-pegged cryptocurrency called tether to ratchet up demand for bitcoin when bitcoin fell below certain price thresholds.

25/100 | focus & SQL⠀
Hi there! Hope you are having a fabulous weekend so far.⠀
It’s been a while since I posted a data & coding update, because well, I caught a cold and couldn’t find much joy in learning new stuff.⠀
So, today is the day when I’m reviewing SQL basics. 🤓⠀
Also, I’ve put together a little action plan to regain more focus, cause daily distractions are UNREAL. The other day I was emptying my dishwasher and noticed I was putting dirty cutlery back in the kitchen tray. 🍴😆🙈⠀
Basically it consists of:⠀
◾Being less on social media⠀
◾Do more activities that require focus. I’ve came up with a whole list of those. 😁⠀
So I started this little experiment yesterday and it will be running till 15th Nov. If it’s going to be helpful I’ll share some details on that. This idea has been really on my mind for a while! 🧘♀️⠀
What do you typically do to regain focus, to be present?⠀
I tried playing a fighting game for that reason and I must say, that kept me seriously focused on winning battles. 😆🤺⠀
Always keep your smile on,⠀
