We have been working on sequencing and my kiddos are really good at knowing the basic “first, next, then, and last.” We started with talking about what sequencing means and put many events and stories in sequential order.
Now we are working on using transitions in our writing! I wanted to introduce words or phrases beyond our usual four that students can use to “spice up” their writing! I didn’t have a huge thing planned so I decided to write a simple paragraph on the white board! I wrote different transitions on different colored construction paper, clipped them in magnets, and boom: an easy way to show the kiddos how we can switch out different transitions.
After this video I changed the transitions once more. I made the flip book (TPT link in my bio!) and we glued in different transitions we can use in our writing! The kids then had some practice identifying when to best use certain transitions and writing them in basic paragraphs.
My goal is to do a video of the week. I battled myself when deciding to post this one because of alllll the distractions that happened - the phone, kids going and coming, and when I stepped off camera I moved a kiddo who wasn’t making the best decisions - but hey, welcome to teaching! 😂🤷🏻♀️.
Hope you enjoy! 💛
TODAY WE WENT AND MET OUR NEW SCHOOL FRIENDS 😍😍
They kind of reminded us of ice cream cones so we took initiative to name them .
Take a guess about which one is which 🤣
3. Salted Cazza (Caramel)
4. Choc Top .
I’m not quite sure if their names will stay but to be honest I think we did a pretty FAB job 🙊 #happyfriday ...
