Using @perfectlypeckish maple waffle counts as celebrating #wafflewednesday right?! 🍳
Happy Wednesday friends! I hope you all are having a great week so far! Due to a threat on my campus, my classes got cancelled today! I had to go into work for a little and I’m headed to @otflasvegassouth for a much needed workout (to get rid of some frustration) and then I’m doing some super fun later with @kindsnacks that I’ll keep you guys posted about! Enjoy your day loves! ❤️
Breakfast was a slice of @sigdalbakeriusa crispbread topped with avocado & a @perfectlypeckish maple waffle egg! 😍 ...
Me: has a healthy serving of oats for breakfast, with fruit obv
Also me: has skittles for lunch
Oats with @myvegan protein, banana, and strawberries, w/ df Greek yogurt

I have been duped by the mysterious powers of the ‘health halo’.
You know, when we overestimate the healthfulness of a food based on it’s brand association (think Chobani releasing the Gimmies range) or a particular nutrition claim (e.g. gluten free, low fat, high protein).
For me, I got done just by the thought that if they are selling these as a breakfast alternative, they must be a health-ier snack (not breakfast) biscuit option for the kids.
They were on special and I jumped right in - not looking at the label.
Upon my first bite, my reaction was ‘they are delicious’ (my kids were obv big fans also!) and ‘gosh they taste like tiny teddies’.
And well, a quick comparison shows that, apart from a slight improvement in fibre and saturated fat, they are pretty much the same thing. Although, Tiny Teddies come in 25g sachets compared to Belvita in 50g sachets.
Belvita contains a higher quality flour with some grains mentioned, but in both products sugar places in the top 3 ingredients.
Will I keep buying these?
I more than likely will (they are yum after all), but I will be enjoying them with no misconceptions that I am eating anything other than a biscuit.
💪🇺🇸🥊💥It doesn't get easier. You just get stronger!👌😉💪💥🥊🇺🇸 ...

Have you decided that it's time to make a change but aren't sure how to get started? Or have you already set more goals for yourself that you care to admit- but keep failing to reach them?
No matter how big or small your goal- whether its losing 5 or 50kg, walking a kilometer or running your first marathon- making a change requires planning and SMART goal planning.
Your goal should be clear and easy to understand.
A goal to 'lose weight' is not enough. How will you track your progress and how will you know when you have reached your goal? Making your goal measurable means adding a number.
Before you add a number, you have to know how high or how low you want to go. It's good to 'shoot for the stars', but don't be to extreme. Likewise, a goal that is too easy is not very motivating. Only you know your limits.
Set goals that are important to where you are in your life right now. Don't set a goal that someone else is pressuring you to attain. That isn't very motivating.
Include an end-point. Knowing that you have a deadline motivates you to get started.
Now that we know what a smart goal is, and have now set a SMART goal. With a goal like this, it's good to make sure that you have a few SMART goals set before moving forward.
