Earlier this year, I was lying in the back of my car in New Zealand trying to fall asleep while watching a lil documentary. I was a month out from quitting my full-time job, completely oblivious to what I was doing, and life seemed to be falling apart (dramatic, I know.)
As I was drifting in-and-out of sleep, and hardly watching said film anymore, I heard this quote that has stuck with me every day since:
“You can fail at what you don’t want, so you might as well take a chance on doing what you love.”
I’m not sure I’ve ever needed anything more in that moment.
365 days ago I took that chance on doing what I love. Through ups, downs, and everything in between, it was the best decision I’ve ever made. Here’s to another year of chasing that dream ✨
PS: The Netflix movie is called “The Great Beyond” and the quote comes from the great Jim Carrey - I highly recommend it for anyone needing a bit of a reality check ...
