At the moment, my main work is in .NET Core and, it’s been interesting for me getting used to Entity Framework and, the 𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐥-𝐕𝐢𝐞𝐰-𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫 pattern that Core has. Before Core, my most recent framework was Django. I had gotten so use to it’s 𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐥-𝐕𝐢𝐞𝐰-𝐓𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞 pattern, that the transition from 𝐕𝐢𝐞𝐰 ⟶ 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫, and 𝐓𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞 ⟶ 𝐕𝐢𝐞𝐰 was fun.
✨
Let’s further explain these design patterns...
✨
In 𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐥-𝐕𝐢𝐞𝐰-𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫, the models represent our objects that are being stored in the database, or some type of data structure on our objects. The views are the visual representation of our models, these makeup the code you see displaying on websites. Lastly the Controller is what handles the URL routing to display our models in our associated views, and helps our user interact or modify the model. ✨
In 𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐥-𝐕𝐢𝐞𝐰-𝐓𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞, just like MVC, the models represent our stored database object. The framework itself handles our interaction & routing (MVC’s Controller aspect) between the Model & View for us. The only part the view serves as in MVT, is to manipulate the necessary data and, send it to the template to display.
✨
You’d naturally think that ‘views’ and ‘templates’ would be synonymous. Well, it’s not when you’re comparing these two design patterns!😂🤷🏻‍♀️

3 Ways to go from Engineer --> Entrepreneur👇🏼
•
1. Freelance your skills by doing small projects. This can be any skill you have: technical or non-technical. One of my incomes is from freelancing (not software tho).
•
2. Start by creating a product while you still have your full-time job. It takes years for a product to scale enough that you can make back your full-time salary. Start ASAP.
•
3. Let yourself fail 1000+ times. In your journey, you'll have a starting point and an end goal. The in-between is a huge grey area that you will have to navigate through. Most likely, you will make a wrong turn, but that's the only way you'll know NOT to go in that direction.
•
After 3 years of entrepreneurship, going from full-time engineer to full-time entrepreneur is a complete transformation. I'm not the same person I was 3 years ago. I feel completely different than when I was an engineer.

All smiles because it’s Friday! I’ve been working on an app this week that supports English and Japanese. It’s been hard troubleshooting for both because we want the analytics in English no matter the localization and similar problems like that through the whole process - especially with UI. Theres been a lot of interesting edge cases throughout the app and I’m learning a ton! And it makes me appreciate apps that support a ton of languages. That 💩 ain’t easy.

What’s something you’ve faced this week or learned?

Happy Thanksgiving! What's your fave food to eat today?
•
ALSO, we are doing a @javaswift sale for Black Friday! 30% OFF of all coding challenges from 12 AM PST tonight until 7 PM PST on Cyber Monday! I'll put a countdown on my story❤
•
If you want to learn app development in 2020, this is a GREAT place to start. We've had complete beginners to experienced web developers complete our coding challenges. It's the perfect starting point for any level of experience!
•
It took me one year to get good at Android development. 2020 could be your year to finally code your first app. Learning app development was the BEST investment I could have made for my business. Just one of our apps has made us over $4,000 the past few months, and that number will continue to grow drastically in 2020.
•
One year is all it could take you, but you have to start now because it's a journey to go from beginner ---> making money off of your software.

Love yal and happy holidays❤.

🔥 Just a little bit busy with my Tipsy App project! 🥳 ⁣
⁣
📲 During these three days, I coded a lot! I developed the Weather App that I want to finish during this weekend. I also checked my Tipsy App. If you want to know more about them, check my previous posts. I wanted to custom Tipsy to practice all my knowledge. I have also coded a lot with the C language. I'm trying to learn it better. Soon I'll have to deliver a project to the professor, and there are many things I don't know. Never give up!! ⁣ ⁣

♥️THANKS♥️

Today, I just want to spent some time thanking all of you 🙌 To be honest, I'm a little surprised, that there are actually people out there interested in what I have to say 🗣️

A special thanks is dedicated to all my friends who follow this account even though they're not interested in the content at all 😊

It has been about two weeks now that I'm posting content on instagram. Now, I need your help. As developer, you probably know about agile development. I want to apply the thought behind that to my content. So please, please, please let me know what you think and send me your feedback!

❓Is there anything, that I can do better❔
❓Is there any topic, that you want me to cover❔
❓Literally anything else❔

Let me know and you'll see, that I take your feedback very serious. In this regard, stay tuned ...

I recently completed the tutorial in the official Flask documentation, and I learned so much! I learned about Flask, of course, as well as getting experience with pipenv and using a .env file for Flask's environment variables. The testing section was great too, I don't have any experience with automated testing, and the tutorial did some cool stuff - like setting up a database with test data and using monkeypatch'ing to replace a function, just for starters.
.
Sometimes when you want a tutorial, the best place to go is the documentation, rather than Google :) Understanding the basic principals behind the workings of Flask will make learning from other sources so much easier. While I wouldn't go so far as to say the first thing I'd recommend is reading through all of the official documentation, doing an official tutorial really can be great.

I'm developing a table in a database to store the movement of players around the map in real time. There are complexities and nuances: you need to make a very frequent update of the data in the database. About once every five seconds. The script that controls the movement of the players - the battle and other functionality must be executed. We work hard guys🔥🤟🏻💪🏻
