Ultimate plate of comfort food 🙌🏻
🎄 mum and I went Christmas food shopping the other day and got some bits and bobs (including @lindamccartneyfoods new meat loaf!! And gravy hehe )
As you can see though, I couldn’t wait until Christmas Day to use the gravy so I made myself some sausages + mash absolutely drowned it in the stuff 😂🤦🏻♀️
🌟 For the mashed potato 🌟
1️⃣ wash and peel however many potatoes you like (I used around 5 small ish ones)
2️⃣ microwave them for 4 to 5 minutes until soft
3️⃣ mash them up with a potato masher
4️⃣ stir in a tsp of mustard, 1tbsp nutritional yeast, salt and pepper and some oat milk to get it to the desired consistency -
What’s your favourite meal to have?
For me, this plate was definitely up there on my top 5 list 🙈 ...

🌟 this post run yoghurt bowl consisted of • Alpro

Adding healthy & removing unhealthy foods 🌱⠀
Follow @plantperform for more content like this! 👍⠀
If you're not ready or willing to go completely plant based, you can still do a lot for your health by eliminating three of the most unhealthy foods from your diet and adding three of the most healthy foods instead.⠀
ADD THESE THREE:⠀
Eating green leafy vegetables can reduce the risk for breast cancer, kidney cancer and reduce your overall cancer risk. Consumption of greens is also associated with improved dental health, a better immune system and protection against DNA damage by free radicals.⠀
Berries are the healthiest fruit, protecting against cancer and cardiovascular disease, boosting the immune system, guarding the liver and the brain. They are packed with antioxidants.⠀
Legumes include all different kinds of beans, peas and lentils. Eating legumes is associated with lower blood pressure, lower cholesterol and better regulation of blood sugar and insulin levels. They are rich in fiber, folate and phytates, which are associated with a reduced risk of stroke and colon cancer.⠀
REMOVE THESE THREE:⠀
❌ Processed meat⠀
Linked to increased overall cancer risk and long-term weight gain. Classified as carcinogenic by the World Health Organization.⠀
Associated with a higher risk of heart disease, various cancers, acne, asthma, Parkinson's disease and elevated blood pressure.⠀
❌ Refined carbs⠀
Highly processed so that they contain almost no fiber, vitamins and minerals, which is why they can be considered "empty" calories. They have a very high glycemic index, leading to blood sugar and insulin spikes and increasing the risk of weight gain, type 2 diabetes and metabolic syndrome. ...

I accidentally left my phone at home all day today bc I was on the hot mess express....but honestly it was a refreshing change! Felt nice to not be able to check it for exam grades or be distracted for a bit. Also I can finally participate in TACO TUESDAY! -
Here we have @traderjoes corn tortillas + homemade soyrizo (TIP #324 ) + chopped leftover @olivegarden salad + @hopefoods roasted red pepper cashew nut dip + avocado + fresh lime.
So tasty, fresh, and filling! ————————————————
TIP #326 : freeze your tortillas if you don’t think you’ll eat them quick enough, especially if they’re like TJ’s tortillas with no preservatives. And maybe leave your phone at home some time to take a break from technology/everyone else for a lil :) ...
