C’était dur mais si beau à la fois...🙌🏼 .

Deux semaines post-marathon, je réalise gentiment que j’ai été capable d’atteindre mon objectif mais surtout que je suis désormais capable d’accomplir de grandes choses. Il suffit de vouloir, de se donner les moyens et de le faire ! .
.
Cela fait 2ans que j’ai commencé la course à pied et j’ai déjà 1000 objectifs et défis à relever. Cela me demandera du temps, de l’énergie et de la persévérance c’est sûr, mais je m’en fiche... le bonheur au final est tellement plus grand! 😍

Alors à tous ceux qui hésitent, lancez-vous et faites en sorte de réaliser vos rêves, défis et objectifs ... c’est tellement gratifiant !!✨ . .

O dia de descanso que vc respeita 🙏🏽 amén. Umas das suposições que vocês tem em relação a mim é que treino todos os dias e isso não é verdade. Graças a Deus 😅 Eu treino 4-5 vezes por semana e nos outros dias descanso. O descanso do treino e o sono - pelo menos 7h/noite (eu durmo 8-9h) - são duas coisas igualmente importantes: é quando o corpo descansa que recupera e quando o corpo dorme que regenera. Ambos fundamentais para a performance nos treinos e a nossa saúde mental e física. Costumam ter isto em conta quando planeiam a vossa semana?.

Easy 6 @ 7:05 pace.
I always keep the runs on Monday optional and the mileage easy. Tomorrow I have a track session, and I'll really get the legs moving then.

My philosophy is that you should keep the easy days truly easy and drop the hammer on the fast days. Too many runners get caught in between and it minimizes the effect of their training.

On top of many other benefits, slow easy runs improve your ability to metabolize fat for energy, increases capillary density - allowing for greater blood flow to active muscle tissue, and the quicker removal of lactate and waste product. Easy runs of increasing mileage also improve your muscle, ligament and tendon health allowing for more intensity and resistance to injury. It makes sense that 80+% of your miles should come this way - especially if you want to run faster, stronger and avoid injury!

Deus é maravilhoso, quando entregamos tudo para Ele, TUDO flui 🏃🏻‍♀️! RP nos 21 km (1h45m) com direito a medalha de top 💯, sem treinar como gostaria/cumprir os treinos, resultado, estou super feliz!

Traaaaaaaaaack 🤪 Short n’ Sweet one today. Warm up with 3 x 1km off 5 minutes (so whatever time I had left out of 5 minutes was recovery..) The morning was complimented with gorgeous autumnal colours; blue skies and sunshine, and the sound of @mikeseaman2709 nearly puking up as after my session I “encouraged” him around his own track workout 😄🙌🏽
Great start to the week. Have got some miles to get through these next 7 days ~ so embracing the wintery doughy carbohydrates 🤘🏽Hope you all have a great week.

Wow! Hard to believe that I’ve been running the @indymonumental half marathon since 2011. It wasn’t until two years ago that I broke the 2-hour barrier and finished at 1:48. I skipped last year due to work travel but was back at it this year with the determination to at least beat my PR...and hopefully be in the range of 1:45 - this was my A plan. Quite honestly, I wasn’t quite sure if I would be able to beat that time from two years ago. I had a great spring running season but finished the Illinois Marathon disappointed and second-guessing myself. Soon after, @kara_runs_317 found @fishersrunningclub and since then, I have experienced a renewed love for the sport. All of the support from my running family helped me to achieve my half marathon PR of 1:45:52 this past Saturday! It’s taken me some time to get to this point and I’m excited to keep moving forward! Not sure what’s next for me - just looking forward to some long, easy winter runs. Alright....that’s enough from me...I’m not a talker. Have a great Monday evening, everyone!

Got some dark and rainy miles in with @trish_arch this evening. She had a track workout to do in prep for an upcoming half, so I did a little 10x 200m workout so I was still able to get out there with her. Nothing too hard, just some good leg turnover. It’s been a minute since I’ve run fast! .

It started raining pretty good as soon as we got started, and we were soaked by the end. So glad we got it done before this blast of snow hits us! .
