#legclamp for the win! One of my very good friends here in Seattle, who has helped me with many, many projects over the years here, needs a dining room table. This will be a project I’ll be fitting in between a whole lot of other stuff because she wants to be involved in the building process so it will take a while to coordinate our schedules, etc. She loved the maple table with steel legs I built for a client last year, so we are going to do something very similar for her table with one added feature: a water jet cut glass “water” feature in the middle. I needed to remove the bark from the walnut slabs first so we could decide how best to orient the slabs for her table design. Once that’s settled, we will tig well the base route in the metal legs, then go about flattening the tabletop. The next step will be laying out and pattern routing in the glass water feature. #notarivertable#slab#walnut#table#kitchentable#waterjet#glass#wood#woodshop#woodworking ...
Buffering... please wait..
Hectic week haven’t had much time for content.
Just buffing up these 316 stainless, mirror finish letters late last week on a rack I made way back for the infamous Scotty from @totaltoolssouthmelbourne.
He finally made the trip down to little old Adelaide over the weekend and got it mounted after we battled with the nut-sert (didn’t read the instructions.. obviously)
Kept pretty busy this is one of the only finished shots I got.
Got Scotty on the TIG, welding some ally and he’s either a natural or full of shit and has done it before 😂 laid some good beads and didn’t dip the tungsten once, I was expecting him to dip it right away, or at least zap himself but sadly not haha,
Was good catching up mate, until next time 👊🍻 ...
